I rcently went to Rome,Italy to see their #90 Express which is very close to being a Nanobus. It runs on overhead wires for most of its route, but then drops the trolley poles and continues on battery alone for 3.6km. Very impressive.

Here is a video that shows a time-lapse of 36 months of construction of a tram in Nice. What a lot of work! We are seeing much the same here in Granada for the new Metro/Tram system.
